Today i went to Russell creek only to find some idiot dug into the bank not far from the bridge .Why can't people just do the right thing and keep to the rules ,before we know it this will be another place we cannot prospect on .

I think if you are going to report them it would be good if you had photos of the vans ,fence and the equipment they had. But you need to do what you think is right ,we all can say what should be done in the end it comes down to you .

I would say be careful they know what you look like and you never know if you will see them again, and if you report them what will they get a fine and there will be more rules of what we can and can not do. It is a shame things like this go on but it will never stop because of greed it goes on...

I use a turbo pan it has a large area to catch gold and it is good for shallow water ,I also use a Garrett pan. I have been lucky so far with the people I have come a cross when I have been panning .There are a lot of good people out there who do not mind sharing their knowledge .

I had a look at shady creek today ,got access to the creek on patrol road. The creek is full of silt and it is deep the water is muddy looking ,did not find anything. The only thing the silt had in it was rotten wood and leaves and the silt smells bad. would need to dig a deep hole to find anything.
