It’s the usual , take mum out for lunch because she can’t on her own. Then we hit the pokies, it’s usually her walking away with a win. This time it was me $700 later I’m that little bit closer to the SDC2300 I want. That made me smile.
Going on my pokie experiences, if you had never played them you could probably have brought a GPZ let alone an SDC  🤣

Awesome shots of a F/A 18-F doing rehearsals last week for Brisbane River Fire that was held last Saturday Night...

Most said that the Rehearsals were better than the Show, as you could actually see them ...

LW....
Love the vapor trails, bit of a spin out to see how much moisture is actually in the air. great pictures. 👍👍👍

I hate the bloody things as i saw a bloke put $400 through and lost it for very little return only to put in another $700 to get the $400 back and lost it as well. I put $5 in 4 decades ago and that was my last. My advice on gambling is if you can’t afford to lose it, don’t play.

Wise words Mackka, I've seen several wealthy people end up with virtually nothing because of their gambling. I can't believe our Governments allow this scurge on society to be advertised, I'm not anti-gambling by any means but gambling addiction is a much bigger problem than Governments will admit, they have become so reliant on the taxes it generates that they allow the gambling industry to self regulate their duty of care.

Dave you can't turn the telli on without constant ads for gambling on anything, horses, footy, you name it you can bet on it with 10's of different companies not even Australian (from what I have read) and yet I constantly here of workers wanting wage rises yet there seems to be plenty of money to waste on gambling, shopping on-line etc. Enough from me as my blood pressure is rising, Cheers mate.

Yeah it's sorta like most things, no issue in moderation and as you said key words are only what you can afford to lose 👍 But funny true story, I flew to Adelaide to buy my Z from Phase Tech, got there the night before and being bored trotted off to the Casino for a look. Played roulette and won half my Z ;):cool::cool:

Agree 100%. What especially gets me is all this "bet with your mates" nonsense that the phone app gambling mobs are pushing lately. Clearly, they're hoping to use peer pressure to suck in otherwise reluctant participants who don't want to be the odd man out. It's a disgraceful marketing ploy and no different to drug dealers offering a free taster to hook more customers.
