I quit when they put winni blues up 15c per pkt in 1990.
Seems a lifetime ago now.

 Winnie Blue's were the bees knees when it came to durries in the late 80's early 90's. I remember buying Viscount for my parents in the early 80's for 0.90 cents a pk of 20's. I also remember saying I'd give'm away when they hit 20 bucks which seems like a lifetime ago too :argh: I'll get there one day :)

25 years ago i had to see and ENT specialist due to a scratchy tongue. He told me that some of the hairs on my tongue (yep there are millions of them) had hardened due to my smoking a pipe. The other thing he did was pull out a photo album of the tongues he had cut out due to cancer. He said that was what he did every Tuesday most weeks.
That was enough for me.

Cold meat and salad for tea with our youngest granddaughter celebrating the wifes 60th, pretty sad really but with one family member and two friends contracting covid this week we decided staying home is the wisest thing to do considering the wifes health.
Sadly one of the infected is a four year old and my adult niece is pretty crook.

Thanks guys, sadly it is a tale for so many in Oz now, the old folks home where my in laws are has just gone into a hard lockdown, it appears the visiting podiatrist has tested positive. The news also ran a story tonight about a new strain which appears to be a delta/omicron mutation which has shown up in Europe I think. Maybe time to shut the international borders again.
Stay safe.

I roll me own coffin nails so it 'only' costs about $120 a week.
Should be able to halve that this week, the chest and sinuses are pretty painful but apart from that, a temperature and the sweats are the worst of it so far.

Trying to find some stuff. It's muggy out here. Big thunderstorm this morning.

Got a problem on my left heel . Cannot walk far . Very sore . Going to the Doc's on Thursday . It is one of those things that takes a lot of time to heal up .
Is it a spur Mike, or a tear of a muscle or tendon.
My left heel has some sort of tear on the outside bottom, seems to be about an inch in size, and hurts only if I stretch the leg across to the right for any reason. Recon I hurt it trying to jog with only a walk as a warm up, I'm gunna try again about six weeks after it stops hurting, at least now it doesn't feel like it's still tearing with a stretch. It started by feeling as if that inch of heel edge was a piece of loose skin, then quickly over a couple of days developed into a tearing feeling.

Good news is I can still get up and down while detecting without hurting it, even though I rise using my left leg :p

Hope you get fully better as quickly as possible Mike :Y:

I'm sitting outside waiting for the sea breeze but I think it's got lost somewhere, they forcast 32 which is pretty warm here, at least the beers cold
