Hi all,

If you've ever wondered just how gold gets it's weight/mass this great little article by John Walker (2006) might just help explain it. There's also a small bit of info about the yellowish glow of gold and how it comes about. Gotta love physics.

The little poem at the end is so great:
What keeps that golden twinkle bright?
Mass increase near speed of light!

Cheers,
Shauno

EDIT- MODS: I was going to copy/paste the article in, but figured the equations might not show correctly?

That's good reading Syndyne .... Not sure that I will ever understand all that , but you never know when information like this will come in handy !

I need to lie down......I have a headache from reading that.
Blue light huh...? Need to get one of those.
