Couldn't Hi-bank at our normal creek (no water), swung the detector for the day instead and jagged 7 good nuggets. Largest went 21 grams :) .....Guess the Easter Bunny was kind to us...Cheers, Wal :)

Congratulations Wal , what a great find mate . A just reward for all the effort you put in to guiding and helping others that are new to the obsession !

Thanks guys....bit of luck involved with that one. ;) Dug a soft signal which turned out to be a small 1.6 grammer at about 8"...rechecked the hole and got another soft signal so went deeper.....another 12" and out pops the 21 grammer. If the smaller one wasn't on top, I'm 100% sure the bigger one would still be there resting .....at least until there was some water for the hi-banker. ;) ...Cheers Wal :)

Thanks Joe....wish all the trips were half as good....went looking for you guys at the campground, but there was more people there than at the footy grand final, Cheers Wal. :)

Yes trips like that should go in a diary for grand kids :) we were not to far from 406, I set up late just after lunch and as you said within couple of hours sucked up all the water. DD and GR put the dry washer in full steam which paid of quite nicely :)

UHF radio is great idea,

Tell Liz she's got the eye of a hawk :) spotting that 34 ct stunner

Will tell eagle eye Liz that for you Joe :D Creek 406 is a good 20ks from the campground, and i recon DD's dry blower would have given away the spot by the huge dust cloud it would have created  ....you would have seen it from Crookwell. The creek never even had a puddle to pan in :( Cheers Wal. :)

Hi all,

WalnLiz, a great result congratulations :) its not often you get those big ones.

Jim & Kerrie

Your right there Jim...but i guess it's the chances at the bigger ones that keep the fever running high....Cheers Wal. :)

Good On you Wal & Liz.
Sounds & looks like you's had a top weekend!

Might pay to swing a bit more often near your normal creek - them bits far outweigh any gold you would have scored from highbanking

Well done indeed :D

Thanks Marty...when there's water in the creek we pull quite a few in the 1 to 6 gram size from the Hi-banker, but being a short creek high in the hills sometimes the water is harder to find than the gold. ;) the winter months are usually kinder to us so hoping for some rain soon...Cheers Wal. :)

Thats a great result Wal. An Easter egg size nugget.....
The fever is getting stronger.....need to get out there again..
Its pics like that, that break you out into a sweat...lol
Well done mate

Well done Wal, always good to see results like that, just keeps the fever going... :D
