3 Detecting Willi Beach at 1AM.

Well decided to head down to willi beach here in Victoria last night.

It was hot at midnight and waters were still.

I got there and there was already a guy in the water detecting in his waders.

Weather like this and you need to get into your shorts and enjoy the experience.

After 30 minutes I looked over at the beach and there was another guy detecting the sands.

This guy is a regular and only detects one part of the beach because he leaves the trail of his scoop.

Its a beach that gets really busy with swimmers.

How times have changed..

i was going to go tonight and they may be my trails if they were near the life saving club but not me last night

I used to do this 15 years ago.

Pennies everywhere not today.

No the beaches are picked clean i went to st kilda beach the other day and 6 blokes with detectors were combing everything

There goes that theory, was going to head down there on Monday morning but the Marine shop rang to say the boat service was completed, could have used a bit of change to help pay for the new electrics.
AND will obviously have to consider another beach ..... assume they would have done quite well after the warn Sat/Sun.
Altona is just down the road from work so may have to swing there during lunch ......
