Beagleboy, I drove from Beechworth to Eldorado on Sunday tried a few spots there were a few people camped along the creek wonder how many were Prospecting members

My first find with the new 5000, needs a good cleanup though. I think there may be more yella stuff under the ironstone. Any suggestions as to how to clean it up without spoiling the look of the quartz? I don't want to stuff it up......... :rolleyes:

wicked mate...real nice :cool:
 
Picked up around half an ounce over the last couple of weekends with the trommel.

Note the color difference of the gold in the second pic, much brighter gold coming from a deeper wash layer, in the same spot.
It seems to be getting a little coarser too.

Wow.. that's some great gold for a couple of weekends well done :eek: :) .. just finished building my own trommel, going to try it out in tuena in the next few days.. :D
 
so i went out to Turondale Rd yesterday in the 4wd looking for some 4wd tracks and ended up on the turon river bed didn't have a pan or sluce just a spade and u bucket came along a nice secluded spot that looked good for a test but (no pan ) :( so i collected some dirt in the bucket to pan out when i got home so this is the result of a 20ltr bucket
