Minelab detector service and customer service

Thanks for your reply, I don't think its the coil because i have two coils and it does the same with both. So im guessing its the detector. I think I will contact minelab for help. On a side note did you or have you had any luck with your eureka gold?

Minelab detector service and customer service

Hey all, After a long absence due to illness, im ready to hit the old hobby once again. But, when I took my Minelab Eureka Gold out of the cupboard (where it was home for about 2 years) and turned it on, it is giving me constant high pitch pulses. No matter what mode I put it in it does not...

The Golden Triangle GT Victoria information and questions

Welcome to the forum, Wedderburn and Dunolly would be bone dry so as you said you will have to recirculate your water. As for Heathcote there should be water in the main creek but not the tributaries. I've only been there once and found zip. I've been told by other members its a real hit or miss...

What Gemstones have you found at Eldorado / Beechworth Reedy Creek?

I have been To Eldorado and Beechworth twice, and have found enough gold there to have me dying to get back there, but on the gemstone side of things have have found very little. I have found a small Topaz (about the size of a marble) :D , Quartz Crystal :| , and Smokey Quartz :| , I hear...

    Gemstones

Hi Sarahmac, From what i see there you have a nice collection, sad to say but it sounds as though you do not want to keep these as a collection for yourself either. It's hard to say what they would be worth. But being honest they will be worth more to you than as a sentimental memory than what...

Sapphires, Rubies, Zircons - field trip wanted Daylesford area

It depends on what your looking for. Rock/gravel bars are primarily the best place to look. Although Daylesford has been hit pretty hard over the years, so thinking outside the box has proved quite fruitful for me. I tend to look for long stretch's of creek and look for the slower moving...

Sapphires, Rubies, Zircons - field trip wanted Daylesford area

Zircons, all except the one on the left which looks like quarts. I imagine there were plenty more little ones left in the cons? Sapphires are far and few between. Normally they are blueish gray, but from other creeks in the area (Jim Crow Creek which is on the banned list) you can get green...

Chimpy have you found anything there?

    Kitty miller bay?

Unfortunately, I found Kitty Miller Bay a real waste of time. Great rock formations and whats left of a ship wreck in the next cove but in the way of gems personally I wouldn't bother. Admittedly, I was still pretty new to fossicking when I went and wasn't sure what I was looking for, if I went...

Gemstones around Gippsland ( Victoria )

I'm not familiar with Gippsland and surrounds, but a weekend trip to Daylesford area will net you lots of Zircons, possibly Garnets and on rare occasions Sapphires. Some good gold can be collected from this area also. None of these gems will be worth much but I collect them to add to my display...

    Water in creeks/rivers in Victoria?

Great news for everyone this week. The rain has fallen consistently for days and looks like we are in for a few more days. Shame I finish my holidays this week. Hope there has been a even fall across Victoria so we can all get out and get some yellow stuff.

    Water in creeks/rivers in Victoria?

Honestly, It's still very dry around Vic. Can't speak for Eldorado but if I was planning a gold panning trip I would hold off.

Know nothing about Gemstones..... Found at Daylesford

I've been around the Daylesford area, and with certainty I can say they are Zircons. They Range from yellow to orange and pink through to red. On rare occasions you can pick up bluish Zircons as well. I'm guessing you were finding them in every pan? Here are some of the Zircons the kids have...

    Water in creeks/rivers in Victoria?

Anyone is welcome to correct me here but I think dredging is banned Australia wide. And soon it will probably sluicing and highbanking next. (In Victoria, anyway) In saying that though, NSW has the most relaxed views when it comes to prospecting.

    My mini highbanker build

Impressive build, I'm assuming it will mainly be used for pre classified concentrates. If not i think it might get a little overwhelmed to quickly. (Just my opinion) But great build either way. Cheers for sharing.
