What Gemstones have you found at Eldorado / Beechworth Reedy Creek?

I have been To Eldorado and Beechworth twice, and have found enough gold there to have me dying to get back there, but on the gemstone side of things have have found very little. I have found a small Topaz (about the size of a marble) , Quartz Crystal :| , and Smokey Quartz :| , I hear reports of the abundance of gemstones that can be found there but have never actually heard or seen someone finding anything else recently.

Has anyone had any LUCK?

About 35 yrs. ago I cleaned out the trommel on the old dredge there. About 1/2 bucket of beautiful tumbled smokies, citrine and clear quartz.
Could never understand why it had never been done before.

Also dug/seived quite a few close to where scrap metal rubbish and the power cables went across to the dredge, there must still be plenty left.

The whole show long abandoned, I still have somewhere here monthly reports of tin and gold dredged.

The only gold we ever found there was fine flour gold which tended to "swim away".
