Walking the dog this morning, noticed a Black storage Crate in the park...
Thinking to my self bloody hell some people leave stuff anywhere on closer examination it was mine...shit the Truck...bugger it
Turned around and looked back at my Cruser d/s rear door was open...,.Again!!!!
The Black box is one of my prospecting boxes....all the pans etc were still there just strewn around the park....
Some stuff from the Cruser has gone walkies only to be expected......

This is the second time in about two months not happy have CCTV Fottage of them very dark and grainy Fottage .....
Looked like they had been on a shopping spree around the neighbour hood they had an arm full of gear before getting to my place .....
Cruser is parked on my front driveway..... 'cause it don't fit in the garage to tall and would cast about 10 to 15k to modify the driveway/ garage enterance to fit the Cruser in ......

The Police were helpful by sending an online form to fill out me and computers now that's another story lol.....

The amount of stuff you have in your wagon all the time but never take any notice till you go to use it ....
Tools you buy and the ones you make....
Don't fit some of the description that is in the online form ....lol

So now ther is nothing in the Cruser .... The Glove Box will be left open , as will the Ash Tray/ Cone holder.
Nothing will be left in theCruser at all ....
Just had to get it off my chest...
Yes I know shithappens.....

Sorry to hear that, mate - there's far too much of it happening now.

Unfortunately, most CCTV installations seem to produce fairly useless images; if there was an auto flash built into the cams, it would be a much more effective deterrent and might even produce worthwhile pics too.

Feel for ya mate, i had my fishing bag (with a large number of expensive reels) and camera gear stolen one night out iof the back of my work bus while i was at an industry function on the way home from a fishing trip. Insurance wouldn't cover it because it was a company car and they were private items. Bloody hurts and the worst part is the pricks probably have no idea of the value of the specialised stuff and probably either throw it away or sell it for virtually nothing to get a hit.

I would set the bastards up some time in the future.. they would get more than they bargained for..... ;)

Sorry to hear that Jim, I know how you feel because I got turned over my self back in February for tens of thousands of dollars of gear, I will go looking for it all and them when they think the dust has settled,

Good luck mate hope it all works out for you,

john

there are much better quality CCTV cameras that can see clearly in pitch black .

they are CHEAP

look for cameras rated to 0.008 lux as minimum illumination levels

sounds like your cams have a real world rating of more like 0.1 - 0.5 lux ?

cameras with 16 x or 32 x sens up are also great at night , many of them dont even need infra red LED's either.

$ 29 - 50 each .

Thanks for the comments....Guys ...

Headsup I will have to look at some better cameras ...
This is the second time they have been caught on camera....
The other time they hit the shed was before the cameras were installed...
It sort of gives the feeling we are a bit like bunneys....

There seems to be a familiar pattern hit the area then come back in about 2 months and hit again....
The area has been done about 6 times since before Xmas .....
Three times for us....

Sorry to hear that mate. A few yrs ago some p$%^k smashed my LHS passenger door in my Renault Trafic Van and on ringing the police I was told it wasn't really coming out to investigate-just fill in a form. I did "insist" that they come and check for fingerprints as the window had been physically placed on the nature strip beside the van.
They relented and 1/2 and hour later the fingerprint person came out. Found nothing on van or window. All that was missing was the 10" screen for my reversing camera.
Still , it cost $100 to replace.
Jaros :p

The sixth time my car was broken in to in Northcote, Melbourne, i went to police to meke a report and was told it was "my choice to live in a high crime area!" LOL, lazy arseholes, how about getting out and making it a low crime area.

Anyway, what is a security camera going to show you but some hoody stealing your stuff? Police arent going to do anything anyway and the stuff is gone.

There are many types of deterent that could be used....
Unfortunately the world is becoming so bloody touchy feely tree hugging new aged ...
Yep right I am from an age were if you f?????up you got your arse kicked big time...
That was from the local copper ..
When you got home you got a smack around the ear because home was told what you did before you got home ....
These days these little darlings make a living from ripping hard working people off...
I still like to think I am 16 and bullet proof...though I am the same age as my tounge and a little bit older than my teeth.....
I am like the Kangeroo and the Emu....if you get my drift....
Basically don't poke the Rottweiler in the arse if you don't have a plan for dealing with his teeth.....

Had a problem with someone getting into my shed, booby trapped the door with a heavy crow bar, happened once more whoever it was wore it & funnily enough never happened again.

Hang on tight to your "get out of gaol free" card then, because you going there, and the thief who is some poor misunderstood minority kid with a lousy upbringing that brought on poor self esteem and addiction issues because he got in the wrong crowd while being homeless is going to get nothing because he was drunk and had diminished responsibility, and now on top of all that he gonna be traumatised by that unexpected shock so he will get a big payout from the government, and then from you, when the bleeding left lawyers decide to work for the poor guy for nothing and sue you while you in gaol. :)

That's an accurate summation there Wolfy ,... a very real reality check ! :D
I'm gunna pack my bare ended wires away now.
