In days gone by I worked at a place that had super phosphate/fertiliser.... I was shown that a hand full of fertiliser in room temp water to cover a few hot beers will chill them down to the point you cant put your hand in the water because it gets so very cold in a few minutes.... No bull.. this works very well.. Give it a go...

Back in the dark ages we used to have to unload beer kegs n cartons from the train in little country towns.
Hit a few cans with the fire extinguisher to cool em down
