Went for a swing at Heathcote, still goldless but managed to dig this bad boy up! I spent a good hour looking for the rest of it but no luck

If you decide you dont want to keep it then contact the local historical society. Not saying you have to, just a thought to keep local history together instead of something sitting on someones shelf with no real context.

It does not look like a real gun/revolver cylinder, normally the cylinder is solid steel billet with holes drilled through the billet for the bullet.
In your picture the entire cylinder is hollow.
I would suggest it is from a toy gun.
In and before the 80's shops sold real life scale metal cast toy guns that fired caps, and even .22 cal blanks like these.
Kids are so disadvantaged with life experiences in many ways these days.
