Wanted Garrett Sea hunter XL500 Pulse 13" Search Coil

Hi All,

I managed to pick up a Garrett Sea Hunter XL500 PI. I've replaced Nicads and it's working well on the beach.

After a few hours searching, it seemed like I could be covering more ground on land with a larger search coil (currently have the standard 7.5inch). I've looked around and noticed that a 13 inch coil was originally available.

I appreciate this is an older model and these might be hard to come by.

If anyone has one and would be willing to part with it, please let me know.

I do not think the 13" coils were available in Australia.

Spoke to a Garrett importer/distributor years ago, he had never seen one.

Anyone that might have one would have imported one themselves.

Replace the NiCad cells with NiMH cells they work better.

I was hoping that wasn't the case. Hopefully someone might have imported one back in the day and have it locked away.

If not I'll look out for one from overseas.

Too late on the Nicads, just had new ones installed. I'll keep in mind for next time though.
