Have a silvery day mate ! :rainbow:

lol Yeah cheers Silver mate....You too. Would love it to be another Golden day though, will go for a late night swing as I am on baby duties while the wife
and family are having Christmas Lunch with the Inlaws. :) :Y:

After cooking a beautiful Lamb Roast with all the trimmings for Christmas dinner Kiara and I went down to the beach where we saw the 50 or so people milling around.
Lots of 20c coins everywhere but not a lot of goldies, I even managed to pull out a couple of ring a dings, neither of them silver or gold but still a nice Christmas surprise from Santa Digger.... lol :)

Hope your Christmas has been a memorable one. :) :Y:

Tis the memories that are most important after all ! ;) ;)
would be nice to have christmas everyday ,..... but a minute on the lips hey (I know my hips would suffer badly lol). :D
I know I'm all sugared up after today, just gunna sleep that one off and hope for the best.
You've had a good year full of finds mate, and it's been great to see it all happening from here.
:Y:  :Y:

Well I got out this morning for a dig at one of my favourite beaches and it produced again....
2 Hours I waited for a ring to find its way under my coil and it ended up being a sunbaker, twas funny how I managed to spot it because I was doing a random walk around trying to spot where everyone was sitting.
I hit on a $2 coin so decided to grid from the surf line half way up towards the beach huts and then I spotted the ring on the corner of my eye.
Very happy with the coinage and glad the beach cleaner hadn't been down.

Another sterling hunt gda ! 8) :p
:Y:  :Y:

Thanks mate it was a very good morning, nice and brisk and only a few people brave enough to be out in the windy conditions.

So Kiara said lets go for an afternoon dig, she remembered I said that if we go out again I'll get us some KFC.
Any we hit the beach and the first thing I noticed is the long cuts along the beach, I knew there'd be a lot of coins around and sure enough I was hitting on shallow coins, even managed to get a few sun bakers.
Anyway it was another good coin dig and I found an earring, my wife likes it so I'm in the good books, she actually liked seeing all the coins as well.
Hit on a Gold Ring TID signal and saw the glimmer under the sand, I thought could it be only for it to be a false heart flutter...lol

All the best, maybe one more dig on the cards before we hit 2018.... :) :Y: :D

New Years Eve didn't produce much with the wife and kiddies in tow, we had fun and all got a little burnt but that burn will turn to a nice brown tan.
I did manage to get out early on New Years Day and noticed the mess, it boils my blood sometimes and the broken glass wasn't nice to see, I cleaned it all up as best I could because it is a very popular beach and kiddies play all over the area.
I pulled out a few finds and even managed to get my first ring of 2018, only bling but I'll take it.

Some nice finds there. Congrats mate.

Thanks Pete..... :)

So I did a recap of all the rings I found in 2017.....The ring total was 55 which was surprising, I never kept a running total but a ring a week is pretty good, most of them are a dime a dozen, more junkers than silver or gold....
Looks like 2018 is carrying on from 2017.....I went out for a dig with Sam and Jess and got another two rings, the wishbone ring is 925 Silver and the other is 316L S-Steel. Very happy with my start to the year with 3 Rings in the first week of 2018 and looking forward to detecting new places.

This was a short hunt on my favourite beach in the afternoon...

I am going to keep a running total to keep track of everything..... Total coinage for 2018 so far $40.15 :)
All the best and happy digging. :Y:
