BT50 deisel loss of power

My BT50 of lately lost a lot of power,took it to my mechanic,he put it down to the exhaust,so he split the system bypasing one muffler.
Took it for a test run,it was much better,so he order in a new one,and fitted it today.
Boy has the power returned. just if it was new.
It is a 2009 model and has only done 107K.

Would have been interesting to cut it open and see what crud was inside

Just did my timing belt and water pump in my 08 Hilux. 152,000 trouble free KMs so far.
By far the best, most reliable car I've ever had.

clever boy.

alot of mechanics would have replaced good parts before finding that.

I bought a troopy once that had a similar problem , it wouldnt rev past 1500 RPM , i found the tailpipe was crushed , i panelbeated its ass to open up the pipe and it went like a dream.
