all this heart to heart talk, its good for people to talk about issues like this, years ago my heart beat at rest was 44bpm like being in a jurassic park movie waiting for the next kkaboomp , well discussed it with my GP, the prognosis , you have 3 nodes in your heart the top node a middle note and a bottom node. the node controls the electrical impulse that activates the heart muscle. look , if the top node fails your middle one will take over, ok christmas time and having that early morning shower I found it hard to breathe, plus walking the dogs really took its toll. Visted my GP on a general check.. have you had any chest pains, no why your heart is just fluttering no real pulse, next thing was take this letter to the hospital do not dilly dally go straight there. that was in february . went to see a heart specialist, wore the heart monitor for 24hrs and got the call, your a sick man, at night your heart rate dropped to 33bpm and had 4-5 second sleeps your pacemaker material oh there's a waiting list are you joking , what's the point in having private health insurance , mmmmm thats different see you in the private hospital in 2 days so over the years my heart rate is 60bpm, thought it was the pacemaker but that only kicks in about 70%of the time. Since then Have heard of the laser treatment on the internal heart wall most say its very successful. the pacemaker is a life style changer no more electro magnetic fields so i cant electric weld cant invent and make stuff,,,, they don't know about the detectors and its impact on pacemakers, so the moral of my story if you feel different in any way don't be a hero go seek medical advice and the solutions that may affect you , the heart specialists waiting list is growing why every new implant requires an annual check, its been 5 years since mine was installed and the specialist has a fully saturated book 6 months waiting minimum and they don't book you in 12 months in advance .... its been nearly 2 years and i'm in in december the last check battery life of pacemaker recorded an event don't know when never had any pains but some times sweat up a little in bed and perhaps thats a heart issue, guys and gals on the forum , any suspicions get it checked out its to late when your dead

Good advice
Its surprising how small changes in your heart rythem can lead to big changes if not checked out early...Hope your doing ok iamagoldenoldie. :Y:

2 hips and a pacemaker and still not hit 70, what more do you need in life??????? finding gold might help hoops forgot about the diabetes keep you blood sugar levels in check diabetes affect all you organs ohhh then theres the eyes macular degeneration checks if yah cant see then yah cant do much can yah ,,,,, perhaps i should write about the hip replacements and what you can expect , the pacemaker is done under a local anaesthetic , first the deep incision to get to the low pressure viens , the separation of skin from muscle to make a pocket for the pacemaker listening to the commentary on the insertion of the wires from the pacemaker into the heart muscle then the tweaking for performance , its all over in an hour since the insertion of the pace maker , no bull dust here, my nails and hair grow much quicker must be the improved blood flow the experts cant explain it lol

Well hope my hair starts growing now..I better stop shaving it and see :Y: Sounds like you have a few problems to work through mate..Luckily we live in a Great Country that has an Awesome health care system..The hip replacements would have been painful. smokey bandit,, about the hip operation pains all readers please take note, before the operation you generally have bone on bone contact no cartilage between the joints, so there is some pain at that stage, the trip to the other side is instantaneous one minute your talking then its lights out.
when I woke up about 2 hours later, I'm in recovery, 5 or 6 other people were in there, a private hospital, I think there were nurses , but a few young overseas people that had no idea on what to do or how to assist you there was pain in that when the ?????? lifts your leg then there was the mumma nurse an old gray haired boss woman gives you your medication and a full glass of waterloo wash it down, but your laying on your back and you know whats going to happen , so the bosswoman starts to exert her authority take you tablet i have other patients, so i politely asked her for a long neck , she looks at me with a puzzled look , a long neck so i don't spill the water, just take the tables i have to see you take the tablets, so i poured the water from the full glass anatomy lunch tray until it was a third full. the look on ker face the steam pouring from her nostrils thought she was guns blow, then i took the tabbies and washed down with a little water not a drop spilt
from that moment on no pain from the operation, the only pain from the inexperienced staff i nurse russian i think with 12 to 14 fresh outta surgery , the night shift , would like to compare with the public hospital system now the rehab young fella was another thing, never got on with him and the office girl on one after noon i was hungry so i helped myself to some sangers on the table,,,,OOOHHHH there not for you there for the dat visitors she wisked the plate away from me and then said if you eat them then they miss out and without hesitation she began to clear the table and chucked them all in the bin some people don't have a brain at all oh before you go i need to get your details for your rehab programme in the new year we are closed for 3 weeks so they missed out on the easy money she said won't cost you a thing the health insurance will cover it yeah right no sangers for me no dough for you recovery everyones different it took me about 4 months get back to feeling ok and having about 80 % strength back in the muscles they cut thru to get the bone a fair bit of muscle redevelopment and getting good balance all good now next on the agenda the macular check and the pacemaker check

Geez they were a bit tight with the sangers ..And getting the old nurse was bad luck..
I have to say my experience with the prince Charles hospital was great..We all lined up like cattle with pink robes on and went in one by one..Free sangers for all . :) .Good luck with the macular and the pace maker check hope you can x those of your list soon as well. :Y:
