Hello all.
I am so proud that my son finally found his first bit of gold with the GM1000. He was cheering and hugging me, and was so excited!
Only a little one, maybe 0.1, but still counts!
Now I have to get one to open the balance.

1st day out for over 2.5 years.
Went to play with a zed, and chose a random place close to home, stupidly easy to get there, 4 targets 4 nuggets , biggest 5.45 grams total of 9. 8gms
All lightly covered in dirty quartz I think.
Fluked a patch lol, cant wait to get back there now, no junk, no signs of anyone ever doing anything but driving past, me included, for 20 years I drove past thinking one day I should stop and check that out :D :D

Banjo, there will be a heap more mate, had to leave after 40 minutes. Was not even contemplating finding gold there, optimising was set to disappoint, so when I got 4 targets in knee high spear grass, I was blown away. In the dry this place will be clear and easy, atm, its like detecting in the jungle with only a few spots where you can actually swing the machine, the biggest clear spot was about 2 m square!
Will be having a good look next opportunity though.

Maybe worth a look in winter when the grass dies off a bit

No idea what happened, but just opened up the forum on my phone for a squiz and I had been logged out. (Shrugs). So logged in, and thought I'd just see if I could share pics etc again. Turns out I can. Yayyyyyy! If someone did something thanks. So I'll take advantage of the situation. Recently slipped over to get a swing in at Amherst. (The usual place we all know and love). My little wookette (9 yo Jazzy) has been wanting to come prospecting with me since she was 3 and would literally pan her brekky cereal. So she came with me for her 1st prospecting and camping out bush. Her only expectation was that she would get to toast marshmallows, as she had never done this. She also wanted to find a bit of gold like her big sister Rachel did just before Xmas.

We met up with Chuky boy, and 2nd night at camp was suitable for a camp fire and marshmallow toasting, much to Jazzy's delight. Long story short, we also caught up with Bjay and Mrs Bjay, and Patrick 1. Chuky is seen here testing the tracking capabilities of my gimble.

Anyway, Chuky thought he fancied a trip to big nugget country, as he'd never been to Queens gully at Wedderburn before. So we packed up camp and shot up that way. A swing at Kingower was on the cards 1st and we stopped in at coiltek for essential supplies on the way.

Chuky and I both snagging gold albeit small at Kingower. :Y: Next day we hit Wedderburn. It was a hot day and I copped a tramp stamp sun burn. Lol Happy to say we all got a little piece of gold there with Jazzy scoring her 1st ever bit.

She is hooked. :inlove: Back to a spot Chuky knew for a swing, that also happened to have a dam. We discovered the dam had yabbies, so Chuky and Jazzy went to work catching a few for Jazzy to try for the 1st time.
