Thermal fatigue of the pistons? Wonder if there are more cracks? Might be worthwhile hitting the heads with some dye penetrant.

    Banknote Warning

Didi a bit more research as some things seem to be a bit vague: Firstly - I am not providing any financial advice or any other advice - you can inform yourself. I am just pointing out what I believe I have uncovered. From the RBA, there is no requirement for anyone to accept a damaged bank...

    Banknote Warning

The RBA is charged with conducting a few things, of which important to this thread is the issuing of banknotes (of note to the forum the RBA is also charged with the management of Australia's gold reserves). Accordingly, as the issuer of the banknotes, they deem the rules governing its usage...

    Changing stereotypes

Firstly the disclaimer - Personally I do not mind what people look like - I have moved past that many years ago..... I used to work in an industry that was conservative and safety critical. Generally it...

On a slight thread drift: My first vehicle was an Honda XR75. $25. Age 10. It came in a cardboard box in pieces. Missing a few pieces, some extra pieces in other areas...... I had been nagging my old man for years and years. He finally caved in.......with a twist. I had to put it together...

Does anyone here fly? Considering obtaining microlight licence...

I flew for a living for over 20 years - until recently.....hence the username. Firstly - DWT - I think your good Mrs actually likes you! Maybe you owe her a nice dinner out for that one? I think Bacchus has hit the nail on the head. Passion is one thing, dedication and money also required...

    Garrett Infinium vs AT Gold

Hi, Respectfully after some thoughts regarding the 2 detectors. I am looking at combining a detector into my searching - however I have one specific requirement that does narrow it down - I want to be able to use it in water as well as land (only creek wading etc not deep). Dry land will most...

Visiting Family In Sydney in January Looking to do some prospecting

I simply can not let it go..........without saying something. It is extremely heart warming to see the offers of generosity, friendship and sharing that flow through this forum. Bit of girly thing for a guy to say ...... but it has to be said. If there were more people like you guys in the...

    Looking to buy this Highbanker

Don't want to put it down - but unless you have something worked out with freight - you're going to get slammed! I imagine without researching it - possibly the freight will be around 2/3 of the cost of the unit. But that depends on the size/weight combination as packed for shipping. Many of...

    Trout Season open in NSW.

Yes - down the corner from Coles..........big enough to be a descendant of the Fukushima cooling pond! I had pictures of Alien or something similar coming at me......thinking "so this is how it ends?" Nope - just a big fish. One massive big fright standing in the water though. Flow is still...

    Trout Season open in NSW.

Saw a couple of monster trout in the Turon today - they really gave me a fright! If I was not mistaken also saw a couple of almost monster Carp going upstream as well. Did see a couple of people trying their luck with a line - not sure how they went.
