I've been doing some research on a few of my finds, and I've found a lot of similar if not identical items on US civil war web sites. For example http://sgtriker.com/campitems.htm I'm thinking if you just add "civil war period" to the description of your items, you could double your asking...

It turns out we do have some dangerous bears in Australia, they call them "Ralph Harris" and "Robert Hughes" :lol:

This is my most mangled I love how the letters have been flattened out, but remained legible. What do you think might have happened to it?

Does anyone else find the TV show Seinfeld to be comforting? It takes me back to a time in my life that I now realise was worry free, and.....well just fun. It might just be my age, or it might prove that 911 really did change the world, or it might just be the stuff I've been drinking.

Thanks :) I'm not sure about cleaning it anymore, it's not valuable, I'm just worried I'll loose more detail, might just give it a soak in olive oil. The more I find at these sites the more confused I get as how they got there, and what was going on. Either the original dwellers collected...

Found these today. A 1917, and 1921 Aus one Penny, A pair of "Solide" Paris buckles. My find of the day would be this locket. The suspense of wondering what was inside it was great :) I was dreaming of a little map to some treasure. At least it wasn't empty :lol:
