Hi mate, I have an Evakool 47L Fibreglass fridge, they retail for just over $1200.
I have had it for about 10 years and even freezes stuff in 45-47c.
I also know folk who have purchased the cheaper of the Evakool range [imported], and they struggle in 35 - 40c.
If you read the specs on these it does not mention performance at designated ambient temps, unlike
the Aust made models.
as mentioned before, you get what you pay for.
If you are on a budget, buying a 3 way might be better.
Run on 240 at home in preparation, 12v in car in transit, then gas immediately upon arrival.
They are very frugal on gas and work well.
Rays have one on special atm.
