Got my first Penny - 1945.Anybody know the best way to clean them - found at the beach so it's pretty crusty. My daughter got her first $2 coin - should have seen the look on her face!Priceless!

Hi,
Try some hot/warm water and a little washing up detergent and old toothbrush to clean it then some(a little) vegetable oil.

Brown vinegar works, just leave the copper coin to soak overnight.

Comes up as new
