There is a open cut mine starting up some time this year at Talbert/Amherst area. It is located on the West side of Possum Gully Road. I think it is some were around Reed track, but don't hold me to that. The company suppose to be a big concern spending many millions of dollars up grading roads and setting up a camp. There going to cart their material over to Maldon for proccesing. They still got a bit of environmental studies to do yet, but basically they have the OK to go ahead.
