I'm from Singapore, on holiday in Australia for a couple of weeks. So, I got to slatey creek in creswick, and its totally dry. Wrong timing, sadly.
Anyway, I randomly dug a hole, and starting panning with what water I have. Children enjoys it and got a few tiny tiny flakes.
Are there places thereabouts Creswick, or Bright, which are suitable for panning at this time of year? Vehicle is 2wd. We will be driving around VIC, and NSW, and end up at Melbourne, airport for flight back.
We are absolute beginners at this.
I saw an advert in the forum for guided gold panning for $5 per person, but it looks like the PM feature is not available till I get 10 posts. Any other way I can get in touch other than via PM ?
Is equipment rental available if we want to go beyond using a pan ?
I do some beach detecting with a minelab sovereign back home. Would a sdc2300 be good for creeks ?
