My 'backyard' is rather large, so here's a couple of snippets a 'few km' apart.
From the Indian Ocean's sandy beaches in the West

to the man-made mountain adjacent to the Kalgoorlie Super-Pit in the gold-fields to the East

to the tall Karri Forests in the South

and the golden farmlands (wheatbelt) across most of the central southern half of the state

Cows again.
Somewhere in Nth East Sth Australia.
On the way in to wherever I was going I hit this particularly bad patch of sand. I was plodding along at about 40 k's when all of a sudden I was not really moving forward much. Dropped gear and floored it and thankfully made it through.
On the way back the next day I was keeping an eye out for it as I wanted to pick up a bit of speed before crossing it. As I approached the patch there was a cow in the middle of the track. About dead center of the sandy patch.
Reckon it took me about 10 minutes of trying to move it on before it racked of to wherever it came from. All the while thinking, I hope I gt to eat you somewhere down the line. :)
Crossed and moved on.

Used to live in SA. The wife, being a pi$$head meant we frequented places like Clare fairly often!

Yeah. it's a nice place. Family had a motel there for a few years. So it was a convenient pitstop for me the couple of times I drove to the outback.

Did I read Pitstop as a typo :playful:
