Hit the beach with RJ this morning, tide was coming in, but he had a handful of coins before I got there, so I high hopes. Got my first beach pre dec, that monkey is off my shoulder with a 1944 thrip, later I got a 1951 half penny :) Thought I had the back plate to an old padlock....but with the pin holes in it, and if you ignore the shape, then it looks like a watch or clock. Quick google search gave nothing for the maker of the old brick. I told RJ during that hunt, that I had found a cool brick....he said that he had as well, and said he planned to go back for it......he asked where it was.....in my car boot lol I did offer it back though! I had the shits with deus, for most of the hunt, as it seemed to be falsing alot. Compared settings to RJs, then I realised that I had audio response on 5....something you cant do on sand it seems....lesson learnt...on 1 it was sweet.

Monkeying around RKT , bet old brick said HASLUCK on it, recon I csn see the edge of an A to the left of the S ,... not that I know anything at all about bricks, but HASLUCK just has that old humor ring to it aye. Glad the monkeys off your back with the little thrippy too now. :D

Two beach thrips this time. No jewellery, digging it all, so I had a chance. The button was a beauty, dunno how best to clean it?....its quite thin in places, words on the back would identify it, if I could clean it. Two really encrusted goldies, going to have a chip at them later. The rivets maybe part of a shipwreck hull, few shipwrecks close to where I am looking. Yet to detect on lowtide, imagine there is alot more to find there.

Pleny of targets Rocket, must be the odd piece of jewellery sitting out there somewhere. As you mentioned, the button could prove very tricky to clean, it looks very fragile on the front side. Well done. :)

that is what you want the beach to look like rocket when looking for the good stuff - i would be hitting it hard each day up and down looking for the coin line

yep, I expected good things when I saw all those rocks, and shells. I will be going back for sure, gotta be gold for me next time :)

Hi Rocket,
Nice lot there mate;I had a swing at low tide Friday morning on a similar beach with loads of stones scattered everywhere, made trying to dig deep targets a real pain in the butt; dug plenty of junk targets and a few coins, four pre-decimals.
There is a big low in the morning, might try and drag myself out of the cot and head into the beaches for a look around.
Cheers, SinHof.

Hit the same beach with RJ this morning, I was late...6.30am...but 1.5hrs before peak low tide. Finds are scattered from in the water, all the way up to the top of the beach. More sand had been washed in since yesterday, and half my coins come from the fresh sand. Got a thrip, penny, and shilling. But I like the relics even more. No rings!
