Hi All,
I went out to the caravan and camping show at Rosehill recently and met Warren from NQ explorers at the Garrett display.
The discussion inspired me to get the GMT out and do a bit of detecting where I usually would hit the crevices or highbank.

The results were surprising.

I unearthed heaps of old timers trash, lots of copper tin and lead sheet but surprisingly no bullets.

I detected the button outside the front door of an old timers dry stacked stone miners hut.
The silver nugget was found wedged between 2 rocks in the wheel track of a road I have driven over 100 times.
The Chinese coin was found about 10 meters from the nugget just off to the side of the track in amongst about 20 nails of all shapes and sizes and other trash.

I'm afraid to clean the coin. As you can see it's very fragile and extremely worn and has a few cracks as well.

Maybe I should get a gpx5000 and give it a good go.

Thanks Goldpick,
That site is a pretty good indicator.

I think it could be one of these, if it is it's very old.
