Hi all been forum stalking for a while now thought i would register and intoduce myself. My name is Darren, i'm married with 2 kids 4 year old son and a 18 year old daughter(gun locked and loaded for the boys). Drive a 200 sreies cruiser set up for remote travel and a conqueror 490uev offroad camper also well set up. Been gold prospecting for a while now but living in Brisbane we are limited to decent areas to go, have found good amounts at Glendon But you realy do work for every colour. I run a GPX5000, Home made high banker and a number of pans. We are heading out for a prospecting trip to Tibooburra in a couple of weeks with the car, camper and bikes to get to some good ground.

Thanks for reading Cheers
Darren

Welcome to the forum Darren...certainly don't need any advice on the gear or vehicle side of things as it looks like you've done your research well. I'm sure Tibooburra will be an enjoyable trip, and It's a must see for anybody who hasn't been there. The gold will be a bonus and make sure the camera is packed. Look forward to hearing about your adventures and best of luck out there in the field...Cheers Wal. :)

Thanks for the warm welcome, I actually met Brad out at Glendon on anzac day and he asked me if I was a member so i figured it was about time I joined. I will learn how to post photos and get some up for you to look at. Have been watching all WalnLis videos for a while and cant help but be inspired and educated.

Cheers Darren

G'day Darren, sounds like a great trip planned, what sort of bikes are you taking? Been wondering what sort
would be best, eg racks and stuff. I've done plenty of riding in the Blue Mountains, but never way out west.

Welcome to the forum Darren,

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Cheers,
Nugget

Thanks Nugget I have just done a search on hear regards Tibooburra and it seems i may need some up to date info maybe Wal could help out on this. Also if i can squeeze it in to 6 weeks i may end up in the Tanami where i have some good info on.

Hey cool Darren, seems a lot of people use postie bikes or quads. My flatmates brother and I have been
discussing doing a trip away with bikes on a trailer. He did the postie bike challenge over in WA recently,
said it was fun but hard going. Pity he did'nt take a detector with him.

I think he has a YZ250 also, I'm thinking an XR for myself.

Hope you have a great trip.

Thanks Copper, my brother in law lies in Medlow Bath in the Blues, he's a climber as are most of the people up there.

Hey Darren, Brad here,
Sorry I cant put a face to the name, I am shocking at this but I suppose it is something to do with being a bit of a chinwag.
Wont be going to Glendon for a while, house reno's are going ahead but have a few bkts to put thru to save me from a withdrawl of sorts.
Cheers
Brad.

HI brad was talking to you at the shower block on the Thursday night and then again when you were chatting to Bruce on Friday arve. Silver 200 series cruiser

Welcome from up here near Pointy Bit Darren, ..... Great traveling and prospecting set up you've got there. ..

Good thing there's no gold left in the Far North mate, .. you could present some of the local prospectors with a bit of competition with that gear.

Good Luck & Safe Travelling.

Thanks Palmer Digger, But if that was true about the AU you probably wouldnt be there, you just dont want us to come up there and wave the wand around LOL. We are actually looking into Georgetown aswell ATM.
