Happy Fathers Day youse blokes. Especially those that for whatever reason cannot see their children and a special hug to all those Dads that have had a child pass my heart and thoughts are with you.
On a brighter note my puppies gave me a new iPad cover, Akubra wide brim Riverina and a Kogan waterproof metal detector hehe.

Will soon load all the billy lids into the car for a trip to their Pa's for a bbq lunch and a couple of beers.
Can't wait to give Dad a big bear hug.

I am gobsmacked.
Just got home after a week in Dunolly and was urged to look in my library, expecting a few boxes of the usual crownies
there waiting for me was a Minelab SDC 2300.

and the crownies were there as well. :)
Best fathers day ever {nice the North Melb FC contributed last night as well}

Looking forward to trying it out but not going up there again till Thursday. :rolleyes:

Here's a Poem I knocked up for the moment. :)
This one is for all of us that may have only memories of our Father, on Fathers Day.
The kids and Mrs Silver are still asleep at the moment(late night), and so it's just me.

Mighty great Dad of old
I remember well all the stories you told
Though I can't always find a name for a face
I remember so well what went on every place
I can do all the things that you taught me to do
I can do them so well that I now teach them too
With all that you knew you were such a wise sage
Hoping I can be too when I reach the same age
Although Mighty Dad you are no longer here
I miss you soo much that I still shed a tear
Wishing yet still that perhaps just once more
I could greet you again as you stroll through my door

Never waste a moment in life,.... and be loving,....that is the true emotion. ;)
 
What fathers day, wife is in the bed with flu, both kids are sick as well. I just got back to detecting after moths being sick. Although I had flu shot I'm really scared that I will catch it too. This winter had been bad one. Where in the Hell is global warming?
Anyhow, happy father's day to all of you and take it easy with that bottle of Chivas or Jack Daniels.
