Detecting sites in the NT/SA border or along the SA/WA/NT border region

hi all...i live in central australia (Amata SA) and was wondering if anyone has any ideas on detecting sites in the NT/SA border or allong the SA/WA/NT border region? also if you were to look at prospecting in new areas..what would be the first place you would swing a detector..creek bed etc

I've been meaning to stop at Tarcoola, should be detectable gold there from reports I have read. Heard a few whispers about gold being found near andamooka not sure if it's true, always possible but I suppose considering how much there is underground at roxby. Have also been told of some nuggets in the north of the flinders ranges.
