wow that's a lot of junk. I was going thru the park last night theres a pub across the road. bottle tops everywhere, i gave up and moved away from the area, back into the coins.. heaps more fun
 
If there are bottle tops, that indicates peoples activities in that area.
All that crap can be frustrating but it could also be masking treasures amongst it.
I ALWAYS pick up those bottle tops and ring pulls as i walk along to help clear a path to the goodies
And its a good deed in a public place :p
 
yeah I was cleaning up the park but got bored of it. I could have just crawled along with my poinpointer. I could have just sat there and pulled bottle tops.
 
You could try recruiting kids to take on the task... They love to help that way
I know ,. Ive done it . Gets em out from under your feet too :D
 
Good to see not only the finds, but also the junk retrieved during the process. Gives a more realistic picture of the junk/good finds ratio when operating in all-metal, and how much effort goes into locating such treasures. Nice find as always Sandta. :)

The big square nail is pretty cool and the harmonica reeds
The round piece in the centre is the back off a pocket watch(found a couple of weeks ago)
