Hi Folks

Went out to a new spot today with my daughter. Was happy to come home with a couple of small pieces. Keeps you motivated when you find something in a different location. The larger piece was picked up in clay and the smaller nugget was at the bottom of a crevice. It took us almost 15 minutes to get it out. The crevice looked clean but the machine was still talking. Had to chip away for quite a while to remove it. At about .1g, it was getting towards the limit of the Evo coil. I reckon an SDC would have been perfect in this situation. Better start saving the pennies.....

Cheers

Les

Well done Moneybox. When we see gold like that, it gives us considerable enjoyment and hope. Keep the detector moving and the camera clicking.

My daughter and I went out to the spot that produced a couple of pieces on Wednesday. Was lucky enough to pick up this nugget after detecting for a couple of hours.

We then decided to use the old timers SDC for a while in a local creek. (Shovel, Dig and Crevice) Was pleasantly surprised with the result of 1 1/2 hours panning. In general, a top morning out in the bush.
