    Please also be careful using an equaliser strap or worse chain between two snatch/recovery points. If the angle of the chain/strap is more than 90 degrees you run the risk of bending the chassis rails as the majority of the force is pulling the rails together not pulling the vehicle forward...

    A lot of alluvial activity in the 1800s happened further down the Boyne Valley towards the dam near Boynedale. There is still an active mine out the back of Nagoorin.     Using a dredge in Australia for recreational prospecting is illegal - information and questions

    I wonder where this sit in relation to Australian laws? No outside power source, no mechanical means of processing or moving gravel. What a very interesting concept. Might just need to call it a Round Gravity sluice!!!! Richard

    Advice on GPS units

    Zac I have a Magellan explorist 310 and have no complaints. It has very good maps and can you can upload waypoints from your computer. Highly recommend one of these. Richard
