    bullett cases -shells

Cheers Jaros. yes, Woodroofes were a major cordial and soft drink supplier, along with Halls ,that were down the road. Woodies,as they were known had an underground spring that they used for their drinks and won many prizes at the Royal show. I toured the factory in the early 60's with a boy's...

YEH. jet engines, Rocket engines, rotary engines. even the concept of the jet engine goes back over 2000 years. you're huffing and puffing, I didn't say ''everyone 's an idiot for overpaying for old technology'' you did -your words. what I said and meant was, if we settle for second best...

Howdy Fellow Swingers. Got out for a hunt today. Not a lot of good loot around.Stopped at an old 1870;s church. detected around the church and roadside. Bullet and shot gun cases were the order of the day. What looks like part of an old lantern, a 22. bird shot bullet, smaller bird shot...

    Bash a detector thread

Interesting posts. Heatho states that technology has come a long way with VLF. detectors. Not really. VLF is still old platform. It has only been ''tweaked'' over many years. the basic functions of a detector are just that. Not Nuclear Science. It is the processor that is the brains. We use them...

    treasureman`s ongoing finds

You're getting some interesting finds lately TM. I like the bottles. they could be medicine bottles, or chemical bottles used for gold analysis, tho these are usually a brown glass. more to come from there. HH

    Bash a detector thread

In my opinion, it is not a matter of ''bashing'' a brand or model of detector. Most buy a detector of choice, if it is not what they want or doesn't do the job, they usually up date. My contention is simply that detectors are over priced for what they are, they are not the ''latest '' technology...

    Bash a detector thread

I think that is the point of most posts normally. I can't think, off hand , of people posting and ''bashing'' their detector of choice. :)

FORS Gold Review by Steve Herschbach - USA

Well done RC. you do not come across as biased in any way, obviously, as you have bought the unit. As you say, early days. I hope others will do the same with the other various models in the Nokta range. If so, hopefully any concerns about their performance here, may be addressed by the...

FORS Gold Review by Steve Herschbach - USA

Thank you for the opportunity to discuss the concerns about Nokta detectors on our soil conditions, and the offer to extend test units to confirm this. It is certainly an honest and open gesture which demonstrates your faith in the product. I hope that interested Groups will be able to explore...

FORS Gold Review by Steve Herschbach - USA

Thank you for the clarification in regard to having tested your product in Australia. On that basis, can we assume that therefore, the product will operate successfully in highly mineralised soils, and hot rock conditions ? This of course, is the - mean- test for a detector on the goldfields. I...

FORS Gold Review by Steve Herschbach - USA

It would seem , given the quoted response from Nokta above, that the products haven't been tested for Australian conditions. A few individuals may use them here but that would not be totally subjective as an overview of the detectors operation and abilities. I would launch these products not...
