In my opinion, it is not a matter of ''bashing'' a brand or model of detector. Most buy a detector of choice, if it is not what they want or doesn't do the job, they usually up date. My contention is simply that detectors are over priced for what they are, they are not the ''latest '' technology...

I think that is the point of most posts normally. I can't think, off hand , of people posting and ''bashing'' their detector of choice. :)

Thank you for the opportunity to discuss the concerns about Nokta detectors on our soil conditions, and the offer to extend test units to confirm this. It is certainly an honest and open gesture which demonstrates your faith in the product. I hope that interested Groups will be able to explore...

It would seem , given the quoted response from Nokta above, that the products haven't been tested for Australian conditions. A few individuals may use them here but that would not be totally subjective as an overview of the detectors operation and abilities. I would launch these products not...

A Surf P.I. kit costs around $200 -- retail. If you know what you are doing it can be a decent detector. you can google it . '' Technology '' is Very expensive apparently. :|
