What do you do if you are in the bush and Quick Track button fails

I always thought you were basically stuffed. However friend today suggested that you could go to tracking (on the 5000) and use that to balance the machine, and then switch back into fixed.

Would this be right? Obviously only an emergency solution.

Yeh mate that works. You can also do a specific balance. See page 56 of the manual for the procedure.

Or you could also carry a spare quick track

All I need in my spares now is a battery !
