Forget the booze,a change of underpants was more important. And " God Sees All " is meant for the bullies on this site who love to criticize. Iam not religious but an atheist, but I thought it appropriate.I don,t care what you think about me,but for the nice ones who tried to help, thanks. For the silly remarks "why don,t you go in spring and summer", our lives are too important for us to be bitten by snakes.

Hi xcavator. The only way out may be to buy a cheap caravan and leave it on the place we want to go detecting for a month and hope it does not get pinched. Puting in a small woodstove would solve the problem of the cold mornings.Maybe put it on a lease and put a " no trespassers" sign up.Leasing may be complicated though. It is warm during the day and detecting keeps us warm also.Thinking of buying a large camp oven and filling it up with red hot embers just before bedtime but would not last till morning.

madtuna.I think they sense vibrations through their forked tongue. But all species are different.Browns are extremely agile and fast, had one slide over my arm and have a healthy respect for them.

I was thinking about mounting one of these in a toolbox, and having the vent going into the tent.

Apparently they are very fuel efficient.

Those things are absolute magic, I put 1 in our camper trailer while we had that, we could sit in there in "tee shirts" when it was only 4c outside and it only used about .3 litres per hour, nobody seemed to want to pay the extra few hundred $$ for it, so I pulled it out and put it into our little caravan :Y: :Y:
Would I get 1 again, you betcha :Y: :Y: :Y:

I can second that as I have one in a Complete Campsite Kakadu and it is so warm at times that we have to turn it off when we go to bed, the lastime I used it was two weeks ago and they are super warm and efficient.

Cheers :Y:

Bloody sook! you sound like my wife Keith, but hey you're getting on and those old bones don't cope with the cold too well.
I have a coleman how water unit, bloody fantastic, gives around 30min of hot water from a charge, the gas can lasts around 2.5 hrs from memory.
But you can hook it up to a power source to run the pump and also hook it up to a big lpg tank if you want.
About $400 full price, but they go on sale regularly, I think the companion aqua cube is a better product though, but a bit dearer, worth the extra though.

Arrrghhh the amount of bloody crap I have had to buy to make it comfortable for the wife!!!!!!!!!
I always used to say "rifle, pack of chips, beers and a sleeping bag, good to go"

I got one of those and an armed forces guy about 30 years ago. Canvas bag brass shower rose and you're right Dave they are a really good shower. Easy two people get a shower out of one fill
