Hi All.
Retired last year in the middle of Covid. Bought a Caravan (never having owned a towbar) then got locked in here in VIC for 4 months.
First real trip in March to Mildurah and through the Hay plains to Wagga Wagga.
Met some people in Ballarat over Easter that got us both enthused in both detecting and panning for gold.
Now have a panning set and waiting on the delivery of my new Minelab 1000 (told it was a good starting place?)
We know absolutely nothing about what we have gotten ourselves into.
Any survival advice (so we don't kill ourselves [or each other]) or information on where to start research on regulations do's and don'ts etc would be greatly appreciated.
Not expecting a GPS location to our first find (would be nice ) but wht not to do is perhaps more helpful than what to do.
Thanks in Advance
Agranon
