Been away from prospecting for too many years to mention. Like to get back into doing a bit as long as the back hangs out.

If you're talking about metal detecting, the GPX6000 is very light and easy to handle although I still use a bungee most of the time. I think the new, yet to be released, Garrett Axiom is even lighter.

Think I will be on the sieves and pan at this stage, I owned Garrett back in the late eighties and used it on the Cape in Queensland, no joy I am afraid. I know the technology has made massive leaps since those days.

Welcome to the Forum Gravy....Panning this season will be worth the effort as the floods have eroded many banks in streams exposing some easier pickings than normal. Good luck out there.
