Unfortunately it is a man made one, found at a depth of 300 mm of salt water in a rock pool and down under about 150 mm of sand.

18 Karat

11.5 gm

Made by Coley Bros of Birmingham

Assayed in 1917 in Chester UK

1917, that's so cool! Love seeing all the old stuff, (not junk) people can find.
To think someone made that so long ago, someone sold it, someone lost it and now you found it :D

If only it could talk :p
 
Jeweller has given a retail estimate of $1500 to $2000, unfortunately it fits the wife perfectly so it has found a new home.

Told her its now her responsibility to report it to cops to get legal ownership.

Lots more rockpools on the central coast...
