Mooralla

I'm planning a trip to Mooralla in the upcoming holidays. We drive an old mazda three hatchback so are a bit worried about the road in. We will likely stay for two nights and mainly sift through mullock heaps or continue someone elses hole. Could anyone who has been to this area give me some tips?
