I have an old miners pick head.

- Pointed both ends.
- 450mm Long
- 2.8 KG

It had laid in my dads shed for at least 50 years and in mine for another 30.

Can anyone suggest a good source and type of handle for this big boy( I'm in Sydney but can order online if price is right).

Love to leave it in the car for those times when you just cant make headway in that hard ground.

Regards,

Phantom

Hi Phantom,
Im not sure where you can get one but some research should help there. Ash, oak or hickory would be your best bets. Probably from somewhere in the US.

Let us know if you find anything.
