Late 1800's religious medallion

Wondering if anyone could give me any information on this one?

All I know is that the site I found it dates back to the mid to late 1800's
And I think it reads "precious remembrance if your faithfull" on one side.

Could it be a token given on the occasion of the recipients Confirmation (RC or CoE)

After looking closer with a scope, I believe I can read the work "confirmation" on the back side

I also spotted what looks like a makers mark.

Any idea of the era this was produced?
