Hello all, Markaw here, from Margate, Qld.Iive close to our rocky littoral zone, a venue for collecting is very handy. Picked up my first chalcedony when I was 8..I've still got it, that was over 50 years ago.I haven't been a dedicated collector, however in latter years my interest has been rekindled and I have managed to learn a bit about our Peninsula and the rocks of the surrounds.I would like to learn more, as we have s fairly recent volcanic past, via the Glasshouse Mts that plug the now extinct volcanoes.

Any one who has something to share would be welcome...mackaw.

Hi Markaw, welcome to the forum. I'm in East Brisbane not too far away. A bit incapacitated at the moment after sufferring a poisoned foot following a bunion operation-3.5 weeks in hospital. I must be the most sterile human in Australia after 3 weeks of antibiotics being pumped thru me.

That's what it's all about Markaw,...we all seem to have a bit of a turn to do a bit of welcoming here and there,...takes the pressure off the few and spreads it all around,..plus you get to meet a few new people and see what they are into along the way,..and help out with a bit of info for the newbies that need some as well. So,..welcome aboard, have fun and find out any info you need and feel free to ask questions to the very air even(someone will usually answer).
