Google earth oddity

Checking out HeadsUp's route to Oallen and it occurred to me that they can't be Aussie roads shown, because there is no road kill. The area is known for kangas & wombats .
Does google sanitise the roads for us sensitive people?

Ive been tossing around the idea of a 'road kill' coffee table book. You could do one by region, state or even from different countries.
