Redfin - yeah -spotted it in the "welcome stranger record" (available at dunolly bakery and the fish and chip shop). Probably honeymooning up at the Moliagul diggings the old romantic he is.
Hi Loamer
Just panning at the moment but thinking of a MD so thought it best to give either a demo session or a full day tour a go.
Full day is pricey at $380 but may be worth to outlay if they are good
Barnaby maps (or anyone's) plus old mining maps plus google maps/earth make a good scouting combo ...... Sure wre a lot of old hotel sites to quench a miners thirt.
Cheers Tom
I am new to this forum and new to prospecting.
I am currently in the process if finding some time to get out somewhere and in the mean time I am researching different areas.
I have recently registered on the goldmaps.com.au webpage however it said I had to wait for an admin of the site to be approved after I activate the account in my email.
After a week I am yet to hear back from my registration and the email I sent asking what the process was and how long it usually takes.
Has anyone had any experience with registering on that site and if so what was the process/time frame?
Usually with most sites the moment you confirm your email your all ready to go and activated, but not with this one.
Goldmaps = ripoff.
Only contains maps and information on the internet and at libraries for free.
Just do you own research mate.
Plenty of links on this forum.
Yeah I bought a map on there for 5 bucks or so and was something you can get for free if you search hard enough and they are
Nothing to be happy about, they were just maps available from the state library
For real maps better off getting the ones from miners den or coil trek gold centre, maps come with much more infor and history
On the area, or if you want free research on Google heaps come up
Jason like the others have said there is a wealth of free maps and data available. Plus numerous programs that will run them.
With the maps it depends on what you want them to do, is it for reference for Gold, or do you want to add maps to a GPS etc... Both are possible but it does take a little playing around at first. If your pretty good with the web and programs in general you should find them easy enough. If you would rather have someone do all the hard lifting for you, then have a look at what I offer here - https://www.prospectingaustralia.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=11545
Again like I have said this is a service for putting it together it is not selling the maps, so to speak. You can find them for free. Just letting you know so you can see another alternate. There are plenty of other links and references that have been made on the forum as well. So start there with a search. You should start to get an idea from them.
