hello i am a newbie to the group just wondered if anyone had covered the the beaches on the gold coast since they had the big swell and high tides meters of sand gone i also imagine that all sorts of stuff would be swirling round at the end of the seaway there it seems like a good idea to me but perhap i am wrong in my thinking ?

Great idea, after some bad erosion is the best time to hit the beach, all the small foil and stuff gets washed away and only the heavier stuff remains.

I'd be heading on down there and giving it a go if I was you, now's the best time to get some of those deep targets (i.e. gold jewellery) :)

Nugget.

I tried near the sand pumping jetty about a month ago. Didn't do real well. 7 disposable lighters . A local told me it was mainly a dog walking beach. I would get in quick. Council is starting to replace a lot of it around narrow neck to surfers.
