Genquip Generator for caravan AC

Has anyone used a Genquip Generator. I need to know if they will run a caravan a/c. I am looking at a 2000 model. Cheers Rick

Hi Rick...I run a Honda 2ooo and they run your standard A/C units quite well. Would assume a 2 kva Genquip would do a similar job. Some A/C units require just over 2kva on start up and then run on a much lower current. Would be best to check the current draw on the unit first...Cheers Wal.

Kem, Before you "trail" your mate's one,

Check the wattage your AC will draw. Even if running watts are within the generator's specs - Like Wall said - start up watts may be higher.

Trying to pull more watts than the generator can pump out(even for a shot time) can do damage to the generator and to the appliance aswell.

Start up wattage bit me in the bum when i got my generator. To make sure triple it, 1000w device 3 kva gen set..
