I've worn out the rubber switch cover on my garrett pinpointer.

It means that the switch doesn't always depress correctly and the pinpointer refuses to stay on.

I've taped over it to avoid this but...

where and or what can I use to replace it?

Give Phil from the gold mining centre a call who
Is based in SA.

He may have some spares.

Btw Phil used to be the australian dealer for Garrett
For a very long Time.

can some one please point me to a good place to buy a couple of the rubber grommet/switch covers for my old garrett pinpointer .

Hate Garrett repairs... AT Pro is simple enough but the Garrett Pro pointer (black edition) = yuck

Have 3 on the go now.. But with the RC tear in my left solder; I have to pick a time when I have the patience to proceed..

PS. The wiring is in essence a coil/motor winding and has a insulating coating. You have to scratch/dissolve that coating to get at the wire..

The grommets can be had from Clark rubber.... NOT 100% the same but close enough... Some are softer than others...
