Clohesy River

Hi all, wondering if anyone has done a bit of prospecting around the Clohesy river near Koah. I'm thinking of taking my son up there from Cairns for a bit of panning for the day. Not sure if it's OK for panning or not, and what access is like to get into the rivers around there. Any info would be helpful. Cheers.

We ( cairns coffee group )
Had a dig out there last November.
We all found a little color in our pans.
Easy access to the river.
You may have to have a walk up or down the river to find a spot with exposed bedrock.
Or you will be digging a hole quite deep just to get through the overburden.

Go get some gold in your pan.
