So I like the idea of alternative energy and other forms of obtaining utilities, and find my self quite often thinking of outside the box forms of collecting and storing them for free (Besides the initial cost) and not including the normal and well used solar panel energy, and rainwater.
Though I've never really tried to construct any forms of it outside of my head and a few doodles here and there. Partly due to renting and not wanting to spend thousands setting up for someone else to reap the benefits, or needing to move to much stuff when I move.
Does anyone else find themselves thinking of this, or other alternative initiatives?
As for energy I find my self thinking about stirling engines running from mirror dishes, wind turbines built from recycled items such as fans and so fourth.
For water I think about dehumidifiers on a larger scale run from forms of solar or wind generated power.
