I was reading the other forums top finds and on one of these someone found an adelaide pound this weekend this coin has to be one of the holy grails of coin shooting in australia along with the holey dollar and dump and the 1930 penny
Hopefully it will stay out of the media but im sure it will be announced somewhere

How lucky is this person who found the Adelaide pound? these coins are very rare and out of the ordinary person's price range. Did it say if it was the first issue, or the second issue duck? I think it will make it into the headlines, this coin will cause quite a stir if the person decides to auction it off. All I can say is that there money problems will be less if they are in financial difficulties. I am very jealous lucky buggers, guess I better keep looking for my holy grail, I would like to find a 1923 half penny or an 1855 Sydney mint sovereign.

It was a type 2 version so not quite as rare as the type 1
